An item that you use every single day and something I’ve spent lots of time looking for ‘Made in USA’ versions for – underwear. This list is specifically for men’s underwear.
All American Clothing Co.
All American Clothing Co. is typically one of the first places I look when looking for any USA-made clothing item. They have 3 different models of men’s underwear at the time of writing.
BGREEN
Made in Rancho Dominguez, California, BGREEN offers numerous different styles of men’s underwear from boxers to classic briefs to trunks and long underwear. Everything – the knitting, cutting, sewing, printing & packing operations – all takes place within their own factory.
Blade + Blue
Blade + Blue’s underwear range is made in the San Francisco Bay area by folks that are experts in their craft and passionate about what they do. They offer boxers, trunks, classic briefs, low-rise briefs and mesh underwear.
Decent Exposures
Since 2006 Decent Exposures has been producing a couple of different models of underwear – briefs and boxer briefs – in Seattle, Washington. The elastic is completely covered for comfort and is always latex-free. They offer sizes 30-44.
Duckworth
Duckworth only offers one option – The Men’s Vapor Brief. It’s made from Montana-grown merino wool that is spun and woven right here in the USA. This underwear is naturally antimicrobial (odor-free), itch-free, cooling, breathable, quick-drying, moisture-wicking, and oh-so soft.
Flint and Tinder
Flint and Tinder makes the “Heritage Boxer Briefs” which are 100% made in Southern California, so the organic cotton and other materials used are exclusively sourced from US suppliers (the elastic comes from Virginia). They are pre-shrunk for a better fit and knit, cut, sewn, dyed and washed in Los Angeles, CA.
GO SOFTWEAR – American Jock™
The American Jock™ line of underwear was designed with the active male in mind, with comfort being a key objective. They offer several different styles from sports briefs to boxer briefs to jockstraps, and they’re all made in Southern California.
JP Mucklestone
JP Mucklestone manufacture locally in the Pacific Northwest, USA, and utilize ecologically-friendly materials to create their line of men’s underwear. They’re made from the finest modal lycra blend, which is a superior bio-based fiber that is carbon neutral and derived from sustainably grown beech trees. It is more breathable than cotton, 50% more absorbent and is naturally anti-bacterial.
Linoto
Linoto is better known for its bedding, but they also make underwear with the leftover material they have. This underwear offers “the same cool, dry, year-round comfort and durability of our linen sheets” and is roomy with a medium rise. If you like a snug fit they recommend going down a size.
Majamas Earth
Majamas Earth has a couple of different options for you to choose from – the Organic Rocko Boxer Brief and the Organic Gio Boxer Brief. The Gio Boxer Brief is shorter in the leg. They’re USA-made from eco-friendly fabrics.
N2N Bodywear
If you’re on the lookout for some “sexy” underwear, then try N2N Bodywear. They make bikini, jockstrap, thong, string, trunk, and brief styles.
Ramblers Way
If you like underwear that’s made from wool, you’ll like what Ramblers Way has to offer. Made from 100% Rambouillet Merino Wool that is grown & sewn in the USA. They offer boxers, boxer briefs and long johns.
RibbedTee
RibbedTee claims that their boxer briefs are “crazy-comfortable underwear that you’ll never want to take off.” They use their signature CoolNylon silk-like body-friendly stretch fabric that wicks+absorbs, which keeps you feeling dry & comfortable.
SWAV
Swav makes underwear from premium fabrics that fight bacteria and odor, prevents perspiration and features flatlock stitching that prevents skin irritation. They are cut and sewn in Los Angeles.
Bills Khakis
The underwear made by Bills Khakis is 100% cotton and features a side vent at the leg opening for comfort. They’re designed, patterned, fitted, cut, sewn & laundered in the U.S.A. They have a lot of different colors available.
Runyon
Runyon makes a couple of different models of men’s boxer briefs. They’re quick-dry, odor-resistant, lightweight and breathable, and designed with a built-in phone pocket and super soft Nylon waistband. Designed, cut & sewed in Los Angeles with Made In USA performance textiles.
WSI Sportwear
WSI Sportswear has been making boxer briefs made from a bamboo fabric in Minnesota, USA since 1990.
Triple Aught Design
You’ve got a choice of three different models: Commando Boxer Brief, Alchemy Boxer Briefs and Alchemy Trunks. All have slightly different specifications, but they’re all cut and sewn in the USA.
CHUOCHU
CHUOCHO handmakes its underwear in the USA from mulberry silk. Their boxer shorts are supremely light and soft, keeping you comfortable, no matter the season. This is because silk is a natural temperature regulator. It helps the body maintain a comfortable temperature by retaining heat in cold weather while dispersing excess heat in warm weather.
