If you’re into canning like I am, you know how important good mason jar lids are to your success (nothing worse than a failed seal after all that work). For those looking to support American manufacturing while stocking up on canning supplies, you’re in the right place. I’ve researched companies that still make mason jar lids right here in the USA and compiled them all in the list below. You’ll see that I’ve also included other types of mason jar lids on this list too (there really are a lot of different types).
Superb Sealing
Superb Canning is the consumer brand of Superb Sealing Solutions LLC, which is a family-owned company based in Sugarcreek, Ohio, founded by the fifth-generation canning Miller family in response to a local shortage of quality canning lids.
Drawing on expertise from their parent company SUPERB Industries, which makes precision components for various industries, they produce these canning lids at their Sugarcreek facility.
reCap Mason Jars
reCAP Mason Jars was founded in 2011 by Karen Rzepecki and creates innovative lids in Erie, Pennsylvania that enhance traditional Mason jars, making them more versatile for everyday use. The idea for the products came when Rzepecki sought a better way to shake, pour, and store homemade dressings.
All their products are designed, manufactured, and fulfilled in Erie using FDA-approved, BPA/BPS-free polypropylene plastic that’s freezer-proof and dishwasher safe.
Brewing America
Brewing America is a veteran-founded, family-owned company that specializes in high-quality brewing equipment and accessories. Their product line includes some wide mouth mason jar lids that feature a “screw-down flip cap to drink from a straw, with a handy notched hinge to give you a neatly controlled pour from the spout.”
AmeriPour
AmeriPour makes pour spouts and Mason jar accessories for both commercial and home use. Their Mason Jar Pour Lid integrates a built-in pour spout into a traditional lid, perfect for dispensing oils, syrups, or spirits. While I couldn’t find any information on specific manufacturing locations, all AmeriPour products are listed as being proudly made in the USA.
Jarming Collections
Jarming Collections is a family-owned business specializing in high-quality Mason jar accessories and glassware. The company started out in a small workshop and has since grown into a much larger operation, offering a range of plastic mason jar lids. They don’t talk about specific manufacturing locations on their website, but from what I can see most products are listed as being made in the USA.
Intelligent Lids
Intelligent Lids LLC is a Seattle-based company creating innovative, reusable lids for Mason jars. They have been operating since 2013 and offer innovative, reusable lids for Mason jars that are designed for both home and on-the-go use. They offer both drink and storage lids.
