Latest USA-Made Home Improvement Stuff Found

Chores and changes around the average home are endless. Stuff breaks or fashions change….there’s always something that needs attention, and home improvement involves a whole lot of tools and gadgets. I’m not that great at DIY myself – I take way too long – but what I have found I’m quicker at is finding USA-made home improvement products. I find them most days, and I’ve added all my recent finds to the list below.

Boss Hammer Co. is a family-owned and operated company based out of Michigan. Their products are made with the American Contractor in mind. The Boss Hammer series comes in multiple sizes and weights, making measuring and marking on the fly easy due to its patented head & handle design. Proudly made in the USA and launched during the Covid-19 crisis.

Tekton is a family-owned hand tool company based in Grand Rapids, Michigan, dedicated to producing high-quality tools for both professionals and DIY enthusiasts. Currently 18% of their product lineup is manufactured in the United States. And when they say that a tool is made in the United States, they mean both that the materials are U.S.-made and that the manufacturing takes place in the U.S. You can find the country of origin for every tool on Tekton.com by referring to the “Specs” section at the bottom of each product page.

The Warwood Tool Company was founded in 1854 by English immigrant Henry Warwood, and has been a cornerstone of American tool manufacturing for over 170 years. The company was originally established in Martins Ferry, Ohio, before relocating to Wheeling, West Virginia, in the early 1900s, where it continues to operate today. Warwood Tool specializes in hand-forged tools crafted from U.S. steel, serving industries such as construction, railroad, oil and gas, and forestry. Their product line includes hammers, bars, axes, and specialty tools like the Perfect Axe, a modern rendition of a classic design, and the Pulaski Axe, known for its dual-functionality in chopping and digging.

Marshalltown was founded all the way back in 1890 by two brothers. Since then it has evolved from a small machine and repair shop into a leading manufacturer of construction tools and equipment. Today the company offers over 7,000 products, including finishing trowels, concrete tools, and drywall tools. Everything I checked said “Made in USA with Globally Source Materials”. Obviously I wasn’t able to check all 7,000 items, so make sure you read descriptions carefully.

In the summer of 2021, a women asked her neighbor in Wilmington, North Carolina if he would mind hanging decorations on her fiber cement board siding in her screened-in patio. She had a drill and other tools she thought he would need. After looking at it, he just couldn’t bring himself to drill holes into her siding because it is very expensive and the damage would be permanent. So he went back to his shop and designed a hook that would fit securely between the siding boards. He also designed a tool that would separate the boards the exact amount necessary to insert the hooks. She was thrilled! That’s how NoDamageHooks was born.

Their products are also utilized by survival kit manufacturers, electricians, painters, and outdoor enthusiasts. All components are manufactured and assembled in their New Jersey facility (with the exception of the Bosch saw blade, which is Swiss made).
