I spent some time tracking down companies that still make belts here in the USA and compiled all my findings into the list below.

Billykirk
Billykirk was founded in 1999 by brothers Chris and Kirk Bray, and is an American leather goods brand based in Jersey City, New Jersey. They are known for their handcrafted belts like the No. 117 Mechanic’s Belt and No. 222 Harness Buckle Belt, and the company has collaborated with brands like Vans and Levi’s.

Grip6
GRIP6 creates minimalist belts, wallets, and socks. The company launched after a successful Kickstarter campaign and manufactures its products in-house using advanced robotics. GRIP6’s signature belts, like the “Ninja Belt,” feature an innovative friction-lock design that offers a clean, adjustable fit without traditional holes.

Colonel Littleton
Colonel Littleton was started by Garry “Colonel” Littleton in Lynnville, Tennessee, and creates handcrafted leather goods that celebrate American craftsmanship. The company produces belts and accessories using premium American leathers that are designed to be durable and timeless. Some of their belts are made from Italian leather.

Thomas Bates
Thomas Bates is a family-owned American company creating handcrafted belts and accessories. They are best known for the metal-free “Titan” belt and lightweight “Hiker Belt,” and offer a range of versatile options for travelers and outdoor enthusiasts. Their unique “Build Your Own Belt” program also allows customers to personalize their belts with over 400 pattern and buckle combinations. Please note that they do source some materials used for their belts from overseas.

Belted Cow
Belted Cow Company was founded in 2004 in Maine and creates unique, American-made belts inspired by the Belted Galloway cattle. Each accessory is crafted in collaboration with local artisans.

Hank’s Leather Goods
Hank’s Leather Goods was founded in 1949 as an Army & Navy store in Binghamton, New York, and has grown into a family-owned leather goods manufacturer. They are based in Endicott, crafying high quality belts in-house from full-grain leather that are backed by a 100-year warranty. It’s rare that you see such a lengthy warranty these days!

Grown & Sewn is an American apparel brand dedicated to crafting simple, enduring garments that seamlessly fit any person, any lifestyle, for any occasion. All products are produced in the United States, supporting American workers.
While Grown & Sewn is renowned for its pants and shirts, they do have a limited number of belts that they sell.

American Bench Craft
American Bench Craft creates handcrafted leather goods in their workshop in Wilmington, Massachusetts. Each belt uses full-grain leather and solid brass hardware for longevity, with all products backed by a lifetime guarantee.

Lifetime Leather Co.
Lifetime Leather Co. is a family-owned business in San Tan Valley, Arizona that began when founder Ty Bowman repurposed leather from a discarded couch to create gifts. Now operating from a 3,000-square-foot workshop, they employ American workers to handcraft leather goods guaranteed for life.

Waltzing Matilda USA
Waltzing Matilda USA creates handcrafted leather goods using new and recycled materials. The company sources leather from Maine and Illinois tanneries, including the historic Horween Tannery. Their belt collection includes men’s and women’s styles plus embroidered belts for all ages, each featuring distinctive contrast stitching.

Noble Buffalo
Noble Buffalo is a one-man leathercraft shop based in St. Louis, Missouri. They specialize in handmade men’s leather belts and accessories with each item crafted to order using solid full-grain leathers from renowned American tanneries like Hermann Oak, and Wickett & Craig. Some of the hardware used is sourced from countries like Italy and Japan.

Holtz Leather
Holtz Leather Co. was founded by Rick and Coleen Holtz after facing significant personal and financial hardships and is a family-owned business in Huntsville, Alabama specializing in handcrafted leather goods. They craft each item to order using traditional techniques and their belt collection can be personalized with initials on the belt holder and a secret message on the inside, offering a unique, thoughtful touch.

Buffalo Billfold Company
Buffalo Billfold Company is a family-owned business in Worthington, Minnesota specializing in handcrafted leather goods – including belts – made from American Bison leather, which is known for its strength and distinctive grain pattern. They source their Bison leather from USA ranches and state that “From Prairie to Product, our leather goods are entirely Made in USA and built to last.”

Origin
Origin USA was founded with the mission of helping revive American manufacturing through high-quality apparel and accessories. The company operates a large facility in North Carolina and another two in Maine where employees craft products using entirely domestic materials. They only offer one belt model from what I can see, but it’s 100% USA-made.

Queen City Footwear
Queen City Dry Goods began as Renna Shoes in 2000 and evolved to create a range of leather goods. They now operate from Williston, Vermont in the Champlain Valley and their in-house manufacturing ensures complete control over materials and processes. Their belts are made from vegetable tanned bridle leather and come with a nickel plated solid brass buckle.

Skinner American Goods
Skinner American Goods is a one-man workshop creating handcrafted denim and leather accessories, including belts. Founder Daniel Skinner designs and crafts each item in his Railroad Square Arts District workshop in Tallahassee, Florida. They state their “belts are crafted from a single piece of full-grain bridle leather from the famed Wickett & Craig tannery in Pennsylvania.” but I can’t see any mention to where the hardware is sourced from.
