I know dogs don’t look at product labels – they’re usually just eager to get on with things – but if they did, I like to imagine that most would be looking for that “Made in USA” tag. When it comes to dog toys, just like with dog food and treats, you’re not short of American-made options. I’ve done quite a bit of research in this area, mainly to buy gifts for friends and relatives with dogs. Below you can see a list of my favorite companies so far.
American Dog
Inspired by a very cute dog named Gracie (a mix of Kelpie, Jack Russell and Shepard) American Dog is passionately committed to producing 100% USA-made dog toys, focusing on durability and fun (many of the toys are made from Cordura, famed for its toughness). The company is based out of Colorado.
Mutts & Mittens
Mutts and Mittens specializes in handcrafted pet products made in Florida, USA. Most of the dog toys they offer are plush toys made out of OEKO-Tex certified fur, which means every part of the toy has been tested against up to 350 toxic chemicals. They come in all sizes from mini to giant and have lots of different designs.
West Paw
West Paw is dedicated to producing high-quality dog toys and accessories in Bozeman, Montana. Their innovative Zogoflex and Seaflex lines are designed for durability and safety, reflecting a commitment to environmental responsibility and pet health. These toys are very highly rated!
